Material Certificates

State documentation needs before confirming the order.

Manufacturer material documentation

Issued by the material manufacturer to identify the product and record batch, chemistry or test information within its stated scope. An MTC/MTR label alone does not establish EN 10204 type 3.1; review content, validation and traceability to the delivery.

EN 10204 type 3.1 inspection certificate

A defined document type: a statement of order conformity with specific inspection results, validated by the manufacturer’s authorised inspection representative independent of manufacturing. It is not synonymous with an external third-party report. Provision requires confirmation and order agreement.

Third-party test reports

Issued by an external testing organisation for agreed samples and tests. Agree sampling, methods, laboratory, competence scope, traceability, cost and timing. A report does not automatically replace manufacturer documents or establish every property of the entire batch.

What to cross-check

Cross-check issuer, product, grade, standard/edition, batch or heat identifier, dimensions, chemistry and mechanical results as required. Documents must be attributable to the delivered material.

Additional inspection requests

Customers may request dimensional, chemical, mechanical, leak or nondestructive inspection where appropriate. Agree scope, method, inspection body and cost in advance.

No automatic document package

No EN 10204 3.1 certificate, third-party report or unverified record is presented as available. Confirm the ability to supply a requested document type and review an actual sample. No certificate downloads are currently offered.
